colour the code in post

hi, is they any way colour the code by pressing Ctrl + K like http://stackoverflow.com/

I have try this http://alexgorbatchev.com/SyntaxHighlighter/ which works fine but i like to do this by press a button rather then type in the informaion.

The Markdown editor plugin now includes code highlighting as an option. The editor itself is the same one Stack Overflow uses.

I don't understand what you mean about why integrating that Javascript to your current editor isn't working. The JS highlights any code that is in <code> tags.

With the plugin if you use quotation marks, it will mess all the code adding backslashes. Thats the problem with it.
