Improving Tags autosuggest feature of q2a?

Question

As far as I could see, all existing tags are stored in the ask-page in var qa_tags_complete='...'

What happens if there are 1000 tags? Will this not bloat the javascript heavily?

I just came across a jquery plugin that supports ajax: http://textextjs.com/

Maybe that would be better, or not? Take my post as an idea... no "that would be great".

Update: With v1.6.3 the tags are limited to 1000 words.

As far as I can tell, only the top 200 tags are shown in the autocomplete, from version 1.5 onwards. (My site that's still on v1.4 at the moment shows all 3000+ tags in the source!)
