Meta Description in extra field

Question

For clickthrough reasons in the SERP's I need to be able to specify the description meta tag.

The description is shown by google and what it shows has a direct influence on clickthroughs = traffic, so to increase clickthrough and traffic, I need to be able to go in as admin and speicfy each questions description meta tag.

How can I do that? Do I need an extra field in the database?

You would need a plugin for that, which can store the descriptions in its own table. The SEO plugin I'm planning is likely to do this, but it may be a while before I finish it.

Check out the Q2A plugin docs, they will help you develop something yourself if you want to do that.
