Closed question is not visible to users as well as showing Google crawl error

Closed questions by admin is showing white page only with link to the non logged in user as well as loogedin users. Google is also showing crawl error with this message: "Googlebot couldn’t access your URL because the request timed out or because your site is blocking Google. Dynamic pages may be taking too long to load, or your site may be blocking Googlebot. "

I know that notices are harmless but still... Actually i don't know where they came from, i use alot of NoahY plugins.

Here is 4 rows notice that appears in every question and answer:

question & answer 1.5 : loading time problem

Yesterday we updated our Q&A site to version 1.5 and today noticed a great trafic loss.

I just wonder is this due to site loading time as it also become slow after upgradation.

My favorites - featured plugin error

This error only shows up if user has no favorites. If user have at least one favorite, favorite shows.

It probably doesn't check if $q_list['qs'] is an array but i don't know where exactly because i am using Q2A for only 1 day.

UX suggestion for 1.5

I noticed that when I post an answer or comment on here, sometimes I press click submit and it takes several seconds to post. But it's not clear whether the post is going through (it's quite easy to miss or for buttons not to activate for whatever reason).

So I suggest for a better user experience, add some kind of indication that the post is being submitted. Maybe an icon like this next to the button?

Problem on clicking header or logo (index.php)

When a logo on the top of the page is clicked, it goes to site url/index.php which is known to me. But this index.php file is returning this script, I'm much amazed:

Bug - custom page with option "visible to anyone" not available for not logged users.

1. Create a custom page with option "visible to anyone" and put the link to the footer.
2. Click on the link - it works.
3. Then log out.
4. Click on the link - "No privilege error".

Seems that despite the "anyone" option, there is still a verification for logged users.

EDIT:
I noticed that my old custom sites work ok. And if I edit the site, then it gets the error.
So sth must be wrong with saving the site access variable.

Q2A 1.5, Can users check their incoming email/message through Q2A site now?

The fast solution is to convert my language files to UTF-8 without BOM.

However it is not very elegant feature if I cannot use UTF-8 with BOM.

EDIT: The same problem is present with theme files.
EDIT 2: The same problem is present with plugin files.

I found some missing spaces in qa-app-format.php, which minorly brokes HTML.

Buggy php code is first, second is corrected one

v1.5 possible small design bug in function a_list

In v1.5 updated from 1.3 the function: function a_list shows a small bug. Its only relevant for design purposes. Even if a_list is empty there is shown in the source code :

The title it self is not visible but once one borders the <h2> in the design shows up an empty box.

I set back to default and it was still there, but obviously I am not sure if have done something wrong somewhere before. However the source code shows an empty h2 what is as well not a desired practice i would think.

1.5 beta error on comment submission in function qa_get_logged_in_points

For some reason I couldn't post comments on my wordpress integrated site when wrapping the WP theme around the q2a theme. I get:

PHP Fatal error: Call to undefined function qa_db_select_with_pending() in /home/noah/ask/qa-include/qa-app-users.php on line 108

Adding a require_once solves the problem, as follows:

Which Plugins Are Incompatible with 1.5?

Now that 1.5 is here(ish), it's time for the scary part... finding out what is broken with our themes and plugins, figuring out how to transfer our core hacks to the new version, etc.

So, seems proper to create a thread for problems with specific plugins. Gideon already promised to try to be as backward compatible as possible; I've got 1.5 beta working now, and copied over the badge plugin - so far so good, the badge widget shows up fine, admin/plugins works, manual badge reawarding works... still have to test automatic badge awarding, but everything looks great - thanks again, Gideon :)

Plugins that I won't be updating:

close question plugin
comment collapse plugin
ajax comment plugin
bookmark plugin

may be others, will have to see one by one how they work with the new code. But this would be a good place to help find answers to the question of which plugins are incompatible.
