I have 1000 to 2000 spam registration each day

Hello Guys

Despite testing plugins like Honeypot and SRS (spam registration stopper), I have between 1000 to 2000 spam registrations!

Does recaptcha v3 stop this? Of course, it is not still supported in Q2A.

Has anyone tried recaptach v3?

Hi,

After blocking a spammer user , then by clicking "hide all posts by this user" button which located in their profile page

The website loading a lot then be offline for a while the return online

How to resolve it

Hi everybody,

I read many questions where users were complaining about spam registrations. Here, I developed new plugin that should 100% prevent spam registrations.

Here how it works:

The plugin offers various methods to combat with spammers
ONLY ALLOWED EMAIL PROVIDERS: admin can set which email providers are allowed. Spammers tend to use non-common email providers. So, it will partly filter them out.
CHECK UPPERCASE CHARACTERS: admin can enable this to check if users input email comprises uppercase characters (spam emails tend to have uppercase lettes).
ADD NO-FILL INPUT: it is hidden no fill input inserted on registration page. Spam bots tend to fill all input elements in the form, so it will mislead them.
ADD CUSTOM ANTI-SPAM QUESTION: admin can add a set of anti-spam questions with its answers. On each register page load, the script will randomly select one of anti-spam questions and ask users to answer it. This will prevent majority of spam registration if number of questions are high.
CONFIRMATION LINK BEFORE REGISTRATION: when user attempt to register, it will generate 8 digits alfanumeric code and store all input data (handle, password, email, code) in to a temporary database table with current time (starttime) and time 24 hours later (endtime). And script will send email with confirmation link to the users email address. The user needs to click that email within 24 hours (before endttime, which is expire time). Once user clicks that link within 24 hours then REAL Q2A REGISTRATION (add row to users database table) will be processed and temporary row at database table will be immediately deleted. If user fails to click that link then after link will expire after 24 hours and the users row on temporary database table will be automatically removed. (It will need cronjob)
Admin can enable/disable each above methods.

Feature Request: An option to make popular or high ranking questions "protected"

It's a feature from Stack Overflow. If a questions is quite popular or it is ranking high in Google ranking then flag question grabs the attention of most spammers.

Now if that popular question is made protected, means users with enough points can only answer or comment on that question.

The question can only be made protected by a moderator or an admin.
What do you think about this feature?

Currently, a spam wave is going on. Quite a lot of spammers have registered. They don't post, but having their user names listed on the Users page is annoying. I want to clean up the list of users with (almost) one single click. The current procedures take a dozen of clicks per user and every time I have to wait for the pages to load. Deleting one single user can take up to 5 minutes. If I have to delete 100 users, which I expect to be doing anytime soon, I'll need a full-time working day to clean up the web site.

I want to get a list of all users on one single page. I want a check box in front of each user name.After clicking the checkboxes, I want to click a delete button. After i click, I should be asked if I really want to delete just once. The users should be deleted immediately after I approve the dialog box without any further ado.

Hi, thought i would share some ip addresses of spammers going around spamming Q&A sites I just hid and deleted like 20 spam posts form the following ip's.

Just copy and paste into your Blocked IP addresses in Spam.

121.54.34.58 , 91.237.249.201 , 91.237.249.200 , 124.6.181.97 , 82.114.195.196

If you come across any please share here too as we will all benefit from it.
