This translation includes the portuguese "New Orthographic Agreement".
Esta tradução inclui o "Novo Acordo Ortográfico" português.

Installation

Clone or download this repository from GitHub
Choose and Open one of the translations you want for your build, formal ( você-sua ) or informal ( tu-tua )
Copy the pt-PT folder, and move it into the qa_lang directory on your Q2A installation
Visit your Q2A website on your browser, navigate to Admin > General > Site Language
Select Portuguese (PT) and save changes.

Change permalinks after modified qa-lang-main.php

Hello dears.

I want to change some terms to my website.

For example i change the default "Question" term in the qa-lang-main.php, with my own term "Mods", but the permalink (domain.tld/question)still remain the same.

How it's possible to change, and the permalink, to appear domain.tld/mods?

'date_day_min_digits' 'date_year_digits' strings in qa-lang-main.php file, is there another place for them?

I try to add qa-lang-main.php file to Transifex localization platform, but platform give error because there is
strings without quotation marks (PHP_ARRAY).
Strings:
'date_day_min_digits' => 1, // 1 or 2
'date_year_digits' => 4, // 2 or 4

Why strings are in lang file? Is there any better place, e.g. qa-config.php file?

I would to change the color of part of messages, or make part of a messgae in bold. is if enclose part of the message in tags, or even tags the, html tags would not be rendered. they get printes as they are, unrendered. How can i do this?

for messages listed in qa-lang*.php files, I wanna make part of a message bold. For instance this one:

Privacy: Your email address will only be used for sending these notifications.

something like:

but

... only be used... would not work.

Any tips please?

I'm looking at the qa-lang files to change some text in alert boxes and such and I'd like to insert some html so I can style some specific text or add links to static pages outside of Q2A.

Example:
'ask_must_login' => 'Please ^1log in^2 or ^3register^4 to ask a question. ',

to include:

'ask_must_login' => 'Please ^1log in^2 or ^3register^4 to ask a question. <a href="#">Click here for help</a>',

The html isn't being rendered and I'm getting plain text <a href="#"> appearing. I'm guessing it's just some syntax thing I'm not getting. I'm not a developer but I'm giving it a shot ;)

Any help is much appreciated!

But I'm not sure how to reverse qa_lang__html to make this work. Does this answer even apply to this version of Q2A (answer is from 2010)?

How about an nicer override option for en-US?

Instead of requiring that we modify the default qa-lang-* files, which means a bit of a headache during upgrades, it would be great if specific words and phrases could be overridden for en-US the same way it's done for other languages. I was thinking about adding an en-US2 option to qa_admin_language_options(), but it might be better to just permit an en-US subdirectory of qa-lang that would be checked before using the default settings, if no other language is selected. That or don't map 'English (US)' to '' and instead map 'default' to '' and add 'English (US)' mapped to 'en-US'.

How do I protect qa-lang mapping during update?

The language mapping files are one of the coolest things in Q2A IMO .. very useful for customizing sites in niche applications...

Is it possible to move the qa-lang arrays to our custom theme folder and use them like our qa-theme.php? .. otherwise the lang mappings are blown away every time we update ( I think).
