Update Highlights

Smarter database requests - Instead of sending separate requests for each user one by one, they're now grouped into a single batch fetch. This reduces the overhead of repeated network/database round trips.
Lazy loading for badges - This one has been in the to-do list for a while now, as I've noticed websites with large amounts of badges suffering from this.

Badges page:

The list of users who earned badges now only loads when clicked, and as you scroll down the pop-up, more content is loaded dynamically, making the page faster and easier to navigate.

After closing a pop-up, the list is destroyed to minimize nodes, while maintaining good performance.

Once a list of badges is fully loaded, meaning the scroll has reached the end, it will save the list temporarily in memory, so it wont fetch the same list again, in case you reopen it for that page visit.
Better code organization - Organized files and created a “utils” file that holds common functions used throughout the site, making future updates simpler and more modular.
Fresh new look for the Badges pop-up - The pop-up box on the Badges page has been redesigned for a cleaner, more user-friendly experience.

css problem with badges plugin

Hello everyone;

I am having a css problem in the badges plugin. the plugin is in its most current version 5.2.33 . there is a css file in the files. I activated the plugin and did all the resets, deleted the site and pc caches, reinstalled it several times on different days, but the result is the same. thank you very much in advance for your help.

Trying to update Q2A Badges language data

I am using the Badges Plugin. I am trying to understand how to update the Badge Names.

1. What does the qa-badge-lang-default.php language file do? I have updated it, and I am not seeing any change to the website. For example: I replaced the following:

'nice_question'=>'Nice Argument',

Expecting the Badge name to be "Nice Argument" but it is not changing. I understand that I can change them one at a time in the admin area. Do I have to update them one at a time?

I cant update the badge description thought from within the admin area anyway, So I need to do it through the language file..

I have pressed the "Reset Values" button and still no change. I am not sure this is what is required as the text next to the Reset button says "Reset variable badge data as input above". If this is the correct button, I would think it would say something like "Reset variable badge data to default". Either way, it is not updating the badge language. Thanks, Eddie

New widget design
Added id tags to Badges Page to serve as link anchors.
For example, if you click in a widget badge now, you get redirected and scrolled to that Badge's location in the Badges Page.
Some other Tweaks

I left the widget with no height by default, but you can set a height or max-height on your themes, so the widget is displayed in a more compacted manner with a scroll bar if you like.

Hello

When viewing the profile page of the admin, the following error is displayed, but this message is not displayed on the profile pages of normal users.

Hello

I have installed the plugin q2a badges

When a user registers on the site for the first time or enters the site after installing the plugin, he encounters the following error. What is the solution to this problem?

Still Getting Badges Old Styles, After Updating

I'm getting a mix of Old Styles and New Styles after updating to the Q2A Badges Extended plugin.

How to fix it?

500 error help

I wanted to install the Q2A badges plugin.

I downloaded the plugin to the qa_plugin directory.

I navigated to admin>plugin and checked the box for the badges plugin.

I forgot to press "save" and navigated to another page.

The server became unresponsive (500 error)

I deleted the badges plugin from the directory.

The server became responsive again.

I tried again, I downloaded the badges plugin to the qa_plugin directory.

Soon as I did this, the server became unresponsive. Now it's just the "existence" of the badges directory in the qa_plugin directory that causes the server to report a 500 error.

Any ideas on how I can fix this?

Anonymous users are showing badges !!

I am using the latest version Q2A Badges plugin on 1.8.3. If an anonymous person inputs a name on his question and if there is a registered user with the same name, the badges for the registered user will show beside the name of the anonymous user on question lists. That means the Q2A badges plugin is using username as the key. Actually user must be identified with a unique ID number. Where is the problem lies with? In the Core or in the Badges Plugin?!!

If you have Muffin theme installed, your profile header will now look like the image below.
No theme update is required, just update Q2A Badges plugin and this setup will automatically appear.

Q2A Badges Extended Plugin (Unofficial Update)

While developing a new version of Muffin theme, I've made some major style changes for the Badges plugin, which were implemented on the theme.

But after Gurjyot's idea, I figured why not implement these changes directly to the plugin and make it available for everybody instead..

So that's what I did. I grabbed all the styles I was designing, and implemented to my "Updated version" of the plugin.

What did I change?.

Badges styles are fully redesigned.
Mobile ready styles.
Badges styles are now implemented on a separate .css .
Added Javascript algorithm to group Badges by "topics" on Badges page.
Added supported styles for Right-To-Left.
Fixed badges not appearing next to the User on question lists and next to the Loggedin text in the navigation bar.

Want a light color scheme for the badges? No worries, just add the following code to the usual Badge css stylesheet by navigating to Admin -> Plugins -> Badges -> Badge css stylesheet, and you'll be allright:

.badge-bronze, .badge-silver, .badge-gold {
background-color: #eee;
color: #000;
}

[Update] Q2A Badges Plugin Style Update

Q2A Badges plugin is one of the most used plugin yet it's styling and unresponsive nature was years old. Well I tried to style badges slightly ( not much though ) and also made them responsive.

Most of the changes are just CSS related so it should work perfectly without any issue. Moreover the styling is done only for User's page Badges list. If you like the changes then do leave your word for it ;)

There is a LOT of questions about the Q2A plugin for badges, but the latest Github update was 4 years ago. I found the latest SnowFlat is not compatible in the Badges page to display these correctly. Everything else is great, but is there a newer version with a better design put together?

As the title says, the q2a-badges by NoahY breaks down in the User page of Donut, SnowFlat and FlatBox themes. Please see the screenshots below. The first one is for Donut, the second one is for SnowFlat and the third one is for FlatBox.

Anyone have any idea to fix this problem please?
