TL;DR: Which private information is collected, and what is its purpose?

In more details:
To comply with GDPR (the European privacy regulation) I'm trying to write a "privacy" page on my instance of Question2Answer. To that end I'm trying to understand which private information is collected and why.

Since I've configured it so that only registered users can post questions or answers, it seems I only collect:

email addresses, to be able to send messages to reset password or for notifications (eg: "your question had an answer")
The IP they registered with, the last IP they logged in with, and the last IP they posted something with. I'm not sure why those IPs are needed though (for moderation purposes I guess, but though I'm the admin of my site, I'm not sure how I can use this information)

I would be grateful if you can tell me if I missed some private information or if I misunderstood a usage.

Please note that I am NOT asking for how to add, where to add, which plugin to use.

I am asking specifically about the contents. In the Privacy Policy, we need to declare whatever user data that we are going to store. I do not know the intricacies involved in Question2Answers engine and would be grateful if someone could point out what kind of data we are storing / that needs to be declared in the Privacy Policy.

Add Privacy Function to php site.

1. All questions are viewed by all users. I want them private. Can't be viewed.

2. I need them to be viewable by users who asked them only. Other users and visitors can not view them.

3. teacher/admin can view everything.

This privacy functions hides other user's question content only. but not question title, answers and comments

Hi there,

I am thinking of migrating for another piece of software, but I have hit one major snag: I must be able to make it so that nobody who asks a question will have their ID made public. Ever. It is fine if the admins can see the username, but nobody else. The reson for this is the extremely personal nature of the questions that have already been asked, which I will be migrating to the q2a.

I am not yet familiar with the internal workings of this package, but my initial thought was to find a place, if there is one, in the base includes and simply set (please excuse made up variables:)

$user_name_for_question = 'Your privacy is important';

Or something along those lines. I really like the software, and want to give it a go, but this one thing is holding me up.
