Is there a way to set the limits for up- and downvotes on questions and answers to "unlimited" other than setting the values to BIGNUM? If I set the values under Admin → Points to 0 votes don't yield any points for the users.

Want to send emails only once per day per user

Too many emails are sending out.

Users are subscribing all the questions and comments. Also mentioning each other in every posts. So thousands of emails are sending out per day. Moreover there is no option for a user to unsubscribe from mentioning. So now I disabled all emails except registration confirmation and password reset.

It would have been nice to notify a user by aggregating all notifications per day or once in 12 hours or so.

Any way to do this or something similar to this?

I don't know if I can tell you, but I want to try my luck!

As I said in the title, when the hourly questions and answers are finished within hours, they can still write questions and answers, but they cannot earn points.

For example; There are 4 questions and 4 answers! After 4 questions and 4 answers at the same time, you can continue to ask and answer, but they cannot earn points from the questions asked and answered after hourly rights! Is it possible?

Why am I doing this? This means that the score on our site means money. Do; The scores allow people to make money.

So as i was started new q2a site (more for testing purposes) i didn't expect for spammers to discover it so i didn't set any captchas. However few days later i received about 2000 registrations and 500 questions (deleted with mysql).

My question: is possible to add settings:

"Rate limit for user registrations: per hour" (not ip, but overall site registrations becouse each spam registration uses different IP's) For example for new site 10 registrations per hour is lot so i can limit that value.
Same with "Maximum questions per hour". Add setting "Overall site maximum questions per hour"

IP adresses is just doesn't matter in bot spam world so "limits" section of q2a settings is just not very effective dealing with non-human spammers.

I think this would be good feature or plugin as some developers just don't setup captchas until spam storm happens ! Would decrease hasle when dealing/deleting spam.

Thinking beyond this feature... administrator should be notified by mail if site receives unusual frequency of activity.

The "Limit from up votes" means 20 votes, not points!

The "Limit from down votes" means 0 votes, not points!

I have a website running which facilitate converting points to money. So, people keep on repeating same answer again and again.

Can I adjust the point granting method so that only first four answers get scores and no points after that. Using this method users can keep on discussing as a forum.
