Now that we have a working code of joomla Q2A SSO integration. Lets please add the code to the Q2A core and make the integration as simple as in the case of WP.

Hi.

I've previously posted here about integrating with Joomla. My previous posts have gone some way toward a solution, but I have now done more work on this, and have a much more complete solution.

The solution comes in the form of a Joomla extension, which you can download from here: https://github.com/SFWLtd/plg_q2a_integration. This extension includes a Q2A single-sign-on file, which links directly into the Joomla extension to check user permissions.

(I've also submitted the extension to the Joomla Extensions Directory, though it is currently still pending acceptance there, so no link yet)

This solution is now in use on a live site to provide a private-access Q&A board, and it is working well. If anyone else wants to use it, please download it from the Github link above and follow the installation instructions.

I would like to make one further point, however: I feel this integration would be even better if Q2A could link to it automatically. Q2A already has Wordpress integration by setting a flag in the config file; a similar flag for Joomla could be added to tell Q2A to look for this Joomla extension. Would the Q2A developers be prepared to accept such a patch if I submitted it via github? Thanks.

I have a Joomla system and a requirement to add a Q+A board to it. I have selected Question2Answer for this, as it seems to be one of the best examples of its type. (there are a couple of Q+A board modules in the Joomla Extensions Directory, but they don't appear to be anything like as good as Q2A).

I have successfully followed the single-sign-on integration instructions on the Q2A site, and I want to share how I did it so that others can follow my example. I do have some questions remaining, but I'll ask those separately.

Other problem, when I ask a question with Joomla membership, I get an error. On the other hand I ask a quesiton without membership, I don't get an error.

What Are The Initial Q2A Core Files That Need To Be Loaded

I want to use this script with Joomla 1.5x. as I seem to have the login in functioning as the Q2A using the joomla users correctly as far a i can tell..

but would like to integrate it to display in the joomla and not with an iframe.

I also have the integration so that it loads the core Joomla Framework so i have access to all the joomla classes.

as in the other posts somebody mentions that there are 2 main files that need to be loaded in Questons 2 Answer... but he did not list them.

so many you can give a quick list of the order or the list of core files that get load for Q2A..

I looked at the files briefly but is the some actual CLASSES that can be loaded from Q2A
