How does a question become hidden?

I suddenly realize that there are hidden questions when I move to "Hidden" tab in admin setting page.

I found nothing wrong with these questions. But don't know why they are hidden.

Is it because someone flagged those questions?
Is it because many people flagged those questions?
Is it because the asker accidentally click to hide those questions?
Is it because many people click to hide those questions?

The same questions for comments, some comments become hidden, too.

I got used to mouse-over the voting and see who voted. Same for the flagging.

Unfortunately, I never know who of my moderators was hiding a post (it is about trust and would be helpful to check if new moderators do the "correct work").

Under /admin/hidden we have all hidden posts. Mouse-overing the "hidden" part and getting the name or even SHOW it next to it would be a great help. I vote for a core implementation here.

How can I edit a question while it's hidden?

I'm making a custom Q2A platform for the company I'm working with. We want the user to be able to edit the question after he hides it. As I can see up until now, when the question is hidden, the user cannot take any action over it other then unhide it.

Is there a way to do this, plugin, admin option or programatically?

Please note that when a question is hidden, its answer(s) and comment(s) must be hidden, too. Also when an answer is hidden, its comment(s) must be hidden, too.

What do you do with flagged posts?

This question is about how people manage their sites. You are a site admin and you receive a flagged post. You go to the Admin -> Flagged section and you can either clear the flags or hide it. You consider the post should be hidden so you hide it. Now you can see the hidden post (as you are an admin) but the other users can't, they will see a "This question has been hidden" message.

You could finish the process here. However, you can take a step farther and go to the Admin -> Hidden section and delete the post. In this case, no user will be able to see the question again and will get a "Page not found" message.

So my question is: when do you stop the process and why? i.e. do you leave them hidden or do you delete them? Or maybe it depends on the content of the post?

I made my question (with answer from another user) hidden and now have no idea how to find it and make it back visible to the cimunity? Am I stupid?

If you hide a question, it doesn't technically hide the answers (and the same with comments on answers) but no one can see the answers obviously because the question is hidden.

But on user pages, the "recently answered questions by" section links to the hidden question, because the answer isn't set as hidden. So you can end up with a lot of dead links!

Just thought you'd like to know :)
