I have only three letters in the name of the month of this calendar. I want the name of the month to be full name in the calendar Tell me how to fix it.

I noticed that the scores will get messing up if I change the point policy which made Q2A recalculate user scores.

As far as I know, here is how the plugin works: First it stores the previous month's total score in the database. And the current monthly score of a user is calculated by:

Total monthly score now (X) = Total score now (A) - Total score of the previous month (B)

Now if I make a change to the score settings, A will change, as A changes, the X changes, but the B will be never changed (B is constant)! And then there will be no mess, and the score won't go crazy.

But now my best user per month list is messing up right now... What I am missed here? And is there any solution to solve this (I had backed up the previous day database, but it is wonderful if I can recover the user score before I making change).

Finally releasing plugin- Top Users per Month/Weekly [Free Plugin]

This plugin adds 2 widgets- for monthly toppers and weekly toppers respectively. Also adds a page for monthly toppers listing.

Uses MYSQL event scheduler - this needs to be enabled. Hence no cronjob required.
Migrates userscores from Best-Users-per-Month free plugin which has a performance bug.
Weekly Scores are counted from the start of installation of plugin
If scoring rates are changed at anytime. the plugin data becomes invalid.
Based on feedback, a new version shall be made with more features.

I'm about to complete the Top Users per Month plugin which is made from Best Users per Month plugin of q2apro. Functionality wise there is not much difference, except that cronjob is removed. Main feature is fixing the performance bug and hence can be used on active sites. Still turning on MySQL cache is highly recommended.

Also the look and feel is improved a bit. Just need to do some final touches to it ans shall be released in a day or 2. Any enhancement requests are welcome..

Can this query be improved? This is being loaded in every page due to Best User widget and I suppose a join query is bad here especially when there are a large number of users.

I have finished some workes on Kai plugin, best-users-per-month.

Changes:

Add view permission for best users page
Add maximun user level for including in award system
Fixed external users validation in admin page

I have planned version 2.0.0 that includes some enhacements and improvements:

Load tables from database in admin page (let admin selects external users table from dropdown list)
Set week period instead of month in admin page
Show best users awards obtained by user in his/her profile
Add ability to set awards for per month in admin page
Design some default themes and let admin choose his/her favorite theme from list in admin page (for revisions page)

Please tell me about bugs if you are using this plugin. And if you have any idea about new features in version 2.0.0 Please let me know about them. Thank you

How to change appearence of the page of Best User of the Month?

I installed the plugin Best User of the Month and it is working well and nice plugin. But the appearence of the page of Best User of the Month is not attractive. There is large space in the middle of the page. I have no any knowledge of coding and someone can help me to improve the appearence of this page.

Nice work by Kai, but I think this plugin is not loading the CSS correctly in the best users per month page: here: http://qstacks.com/bestusers
The user poits are not showing the top 20 list (at least). No table, no style could be done.

The above screenshot shows an automatically created "qa-part-custom5", which is not in CSS file.

In this screenshot, I guess the highlighted are is causing problem and not loading the .bestusers class in CSS.

I know about Kai's decision to develope this plugin in future. I had plans in my head for this too.

I Completed my work on best-users-per-month plugin version 1.3.0

In this version you get these features:

1) Separated language files in lang subfolder

2) Set number of best users shown in widget and page from admin page.

3) External users table compatibility.

4) Remove some users from the list, from admin page

5) Set number and title of awards from admin page.
